What is your approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy is grounded in attachment and psychodynamic principles. I focus on building trust with you and creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. I often use CBT and DBT techniques to strengthen coping skills and self-belief, while also exploring how your past experiences may influence your present life. Together, we work at a pace that feels right for you and set goals that align with your values.
What’s the difference between DBT-informed therapy and comprehensive DBT?
Comprehensive DBT is a structured program that includes weekly individual therapy, weekly group skills training, phone coaching between sessions, and support from a therapist consultation team. DBT-informed therapy, on the other hand, incorporates many of the same skills and strategies within regular therapy sessions, but without the full structure or intensity of the comprehensive model.
Do you offer in-person and virtual sessions?
Yes, I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. You can choose the option that best fits your needs and comfort level.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel or reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice without being charged. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full session fee will apply. This policy allows me to reserve your time and ensure I am available for you.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly. Many clients choose to pay out of pocket, and I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
How often will we meet?
The frequency of our sessions depends on your needs and goals. Most clients find that meeting once a week provides the right level of support, but we will decide together what works best for you.
What can I expect in the first session?
In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other. I will ask about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will also explain how I work and answer any questions you may have. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer idea of your goals and a plan for how we can move forward.
